Description:
This design-build project consisted of the installation of evaporative cooling units at the City of Roseville’s Dry Creek WWTP. These towers were used to cool tertiary treated effluent prior to discharge. The facilities include four cooling units, each of which cools 4.2 MGD of secondary effluent, and facilities were sized to allow expansion to 16 cooling units. Connection of the units into the existing WWTP included design of 72” welded steel pipe and construction sequencing to minimize plant down time. Control and monitoring of the new facilities and power consumption/quality was integrated with the existing plant’s SCADA system.
